This sub-page is going to show the work I did for the summer brief in my third year of the degree.
Specialist Pathways 2 -
Lovecraftian KV62
An environment project featuring an existing location at a particular period of time.
I have chosen to work with Tutankhamun's tomb soon after its discovery. The reality based location will be mixed with a fictional concepts of Lovecraftian Myths and Creatures to evoke that feeling of mystery and horror.

#1 - Idea Development and Source Research
Resources and mood boards
Sources and inspiration;
Layout of the tomb.
Elements of the Antechamber.
Elements of the Burial Chamber (with exception of walls).
#2- Concept Design and Art
A few digital pieces illustrating the main idea of the future environment. Focussing on the general look as well as on the separate element placement, lighting and size.
Concept Development
#3- Wall Art
Original walls of KV62.
Original walls adjusted to fit the fantasy theme through addition of fantasy creature elements and attributes such as hooves, horns and tentacles (Lovecraftian characteristics).
#4 - The Wisp
The options for the wisp lights.
The first one from the left was the original one, but I might need something a bit more clean and with less wide side bloom because of the way I want the wisp to pulsate/flicker, hence the other two attempts.

#5 - Environment development
Environment base
Mostly very temporary space holders (cubes), just to see how the layout would work and working on the proportions of the place as well as checking how the lighting would work.
Lights and first models
Trying out first wall texture, setting up the wisp lights and adding first models to try out the general atmosphere.
I have deleted the space holders at this stage and started filling the space with actual models, I also started adjusting the base to fit the dimensions and added lights.
